RWA Update on Actions 26-Aug-2014

Communiqué for Aug 26 2014

• We are sorry to report that our proposal to offer renewal of Ardee City membership without insisting on realisation of arrear amount, which is valid up to August 31, 2014, has not clicked well and hardly 5-6 applications for renewal have been received.

• The RWA is going to start issuing the membership cards with effect from the 1st of September, 2014.  Obviously, only the members whose membership fee is not in arrears will be issued the card.

• The formalities for award of work relating to fixing of signage have been firmed up and the work is expected to start soon. It will include  the do-up of the existing  notice boards and sign-boards with nominal touching up. It is estimated that roughly 20 new sign-boards will be needed and installed.

• Many residents have expressed dissatisfaction with the cleaning of roads as being presently done by the Ardee Management.  The RWA is trying to locate a sanitation contractor for giving the colony a clean look by attending to all vacant plots, the parks and other nooks and corners which the garbage, etc. is being heaped up.

• We have reminded the Senior Town Planner for urgently supplying us the list of cases where the O.Cs have been issued and the list of cases where the O.Cs have not been issued along with reasons therefor.

• We learnt today to our great surprise that the Senior Town Planner has already submitted his report to the Deputy Commissioner in pursuance to the meeting of the 23rd July, 2014. It is indeed regrettable that the Ardee City RWA has not been associated in this exercise. We are going to inform the Deputy Commissioner of this fact.

• We have fixed a meeting with the General Manager, Ardee Management in the afternoon of the 26th to discuss some of the pending matters e.g. the remaining electrical shortcomings like naked wires, open fuse boxes, street light, electrical infrastructure lacunae, road construction where the work is almost stopped., etc.

• We are anxiously waiting for the outcome of our case hearing on the 29th instant. The Collegium, in their meeting held on July 27, 2014, have already given their clearance to call a spade a spade on that day and come out of the case. Best of luck to RWA and residents of Ardee City.
