RWA Update on Actions 06-Jan-2015

• As the residents are aware, the Ardee Management have appointed a sole arbitrator in the matter of maintenance charges, which is sub-judice in the Court of District Consumer Forum, as well as the State level forum. The next dates of hearing are January 28 and February 15, 2015.  The Governing Body has decided in principle to handle this matter in the Arbitrator's court on behalf of the members receiving any notices from that court after finalisation of the legal formalities, as well as the lawyer and his terms, who will suitably advise on the next course of action to be adopted, including challenging the appointment of the Arbitrator at the High Court level. It may be appreciated that this will involve expenditure, which the residents will please not hesitate to bear. The members may be interested to know that lately we have incurred an expenditure of Rs.50,500/- for defending our cases at the District and the State level Consumer Forums.

• Regarding elections to the vacant collegiums and the posts of President and the Treasurer, the RWA has received five applications for updating the membership, which is a pre-condition for being able to cast vote.

• We would like to inform that the previous President – Shri Romesh Kumar Gupta had filed complaints to the Chief Secretary, Haryana, against the earlier RWA, alleging misuse of  funds in the purchase of sports goods.  In this connection, the Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon, has deputed an Enquiry Officer Shri Rajbir Singh, Naib Tahsildar, Gurgaon, to look into the matter.  He visited the RWA, inspected documents and desired a detailed reply to the complaint, which has since  been prepared. The Governing Body discussed and approved the same for issue.  Shri Gupta also made a similar complaint to the District Registrar of Firms & Societies.  A team from his office is also likely to visit the RWA for enquiring into the matter.

• We are  taking up the preparation of the RWA  Membership cards, on the basis of the forms filled in by the members.
